Russell Martin is a visual artist and writer based in London. Since finishing his studies in Glasgow School of Art in 1998 he has initiated many projects, including Speakeasy, a peer mentoring artists network which he founded and ran from 2003-2005, and HÔTEL BELLVILLE artists project space in Waterloo from 2003-2004. He co-produced and presented two series for Resonance 104.4FM in 2006, Show Me the Monet and For Love and Money (at Frieze Art Fair). He is also a co-founder and one of the directors of Rational Rec, the monthly interdisciplinary social occasion and supported by Arts Council England. Sarah Thelwall is a strategist with a focus on art market structures and their implications for artists, curators, dealers and collectors. Having researched the UK art market for a number of years, she is now developing international research, exploring the markers and trends of art markets overseas. Sarah is also evolving a number of outputs from her work (such as Viewing Platform), designed to assist artists and others explore the implications of the market on their own ways of working. Sarah is currently working on Mycake, online software helping creative professionals organise their finances more effectively.
